Overview

Setup > System health (agency console).

System Health shows a green, amber or red light for each part of the system. The same checks run by themselves every 15 minutes, day and night, whether or not anyone has the page open.

Alerts

You hear about problems without looking.

When a check turns red, super admins get one email, and another when it recovers.
A kiosk that stops checking in at a site marked 24/7 is reported at any hour; other sites are watched Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00.
A kiosk that switches to PIN-only because face recognition is failing raises an alert, and says on screen that it needs a reload.
An on-call mobile number can get one text per outage (needs TempClock's own SMS to be configured).
For anything you need TempClock to fix, raise a P1 ticket: see Getting Support.

Alerting Settings

At the top of the page.

Setting What it does
On-call mobile for urgent alerts Gets one text when a kiosk goes silent or switches to PIN-only. Leave blank for email only.
Missed clock-out grace (minutes) How long after its booked end a shift still open counts as a missed clock-out. With no booking, 14 hours.
Email the older alert rules Missed clock-outs, overtime and late starts, each item at most once a day.
Sites watched 24/7 Tick the sites where a silent kiosk should be reported at any hour.

Click Save alerting settings.

What Is Checked

Under System Checks.

Area Checks
Kiosk fleet Every commissioned kiosk has checked in recently. Kiosks not yet set up are not counted.
Scheduled jobs Each background job has run on time: alerts (every 15 minutes), the no-show detector, the email and SMS queue, reminders, enrolment invites, the retention sweep, face data clean-up, approval reminders, webhook retries, reports and others. Optional jobs that have never run show amber, not red.
Backups The nightly database backup has run.
Mail Email can be sent.
Security Two-factor enrolment and the audit log.
Kiosk app The Android kiosk app update channel.

When Something Is Red

What to do.

Click the check to see its detail.
A red scheduled job usually means it has not run: raise a ticket so TempClock can check the server schedule.
A red kiosk: check the tablet has power and a connection. If clocking has stopped at a site, use the paper sign-in sheet and raise a P1 ticket.

Know who turned up, and pay every hour right.

Face-verified clock-ins, live geofencing and payroll-ready timesheets in one system. Tell us how your shifts run and we will show you how it fits.
